This study evaluates the current situation of Vietnamese laborers in Japan, and analyzes the factors that affect the intention to extend their working time in Japan Through interviews with 124 Vietnamese laborers in Okayama city, Japan, the results showed the following factors: age, Japanese language proficiency, income, household type, level of job satisfaction and life, and support from the Japanese government have a significant influence on the intention to extend working time in Japan. In particular, income and satisfaction with work and life are the strongest two affecting factors. This study emphasizes the decisive influence of ensuring a stable income and creating a positive working environment for Vietnamese laborers in Japan on the intention to extend working time. Policymakers for exporting labor to the Japanese market need to focus on these decisive factors to increase contract renewal rates, thereby maximizing the benefits of labor export program. In addition, improving administrative support and international relations will contribute to strengthening laborers' confidence and enhancing Vietnam's image in the global labor market.
Nguyễn Thế Hùng, Nguyễn Quang Tân, Nguyễn Ánh Dương Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Economics & Management Science https://tapchi.hce.edu.vn/index.php/sjme/article/view/398 Fri, 27 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 WHAT DETERMINES THE ECONOMIC-ENVIRONMENTAL WIN-WIN IN MARINE CAGE LOBSTER FARMING IN VIETNAM https://tapchi.hce.edu.vn/index.php/sjme/article/view/474
This study analyzes the economic-environmental trade-off of 353 marine cage lobster farming households in Vietnam, focusing on their potential to simultaneously reduce production costs and nutrient consumption when adopting environmentally-friendly production practices. The analysis reveals that most farms can achieve a positive economic-environmental outcome. However, some farms still face negative trade-offs. To identify factors determining these positive or negative trade-offs, a binary logistic regression model was employed, where the dependent variable takes the value of 0 if production costs increased and 1 if production costs decreased as farms sought to enhance environmental performance. Results indicate that factors such as the age of the household head and farming scalloped lobsters positively influence the probability of achieving a beneficial trade-off. Conversely, overly frequent cage cleaning and greater distances from pollution sources negatively impact this probability. Consequently, the study recommends policy measures and support programs emphasizing effective farm management practices, particularly in optimizing feed use and cage hygiene, to promote sustainable lobster farming development in Vietnam.
Tôn Nữ Hải Âu Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Economics & Management Science https://tapchi.hce.edu.vn/index.php/sjme/article/view/474 Fri, 27 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 INVESTIGATING THE RELATIONSHIP AMONG ORGANIZATIONAL JUSTICE, JOB SATISFACTION AND INDIVIDUAL JOB PERFORMANCE https://tapchi.hce.edu.vn/index.php/sjme/article/view/352
The job performance has been a topic of significant interest and research for many decades. The research aims to design and evaluate a digitalization-based intervention strategy with objectives of enhancing operational parameters, minimizing risk variables, and optimizing customer satisfaction indices. The current (As-Is) process was modeled according to BPMN 2.0 standards, from which the “Process Digitalization” intervention scenario (Intervention Scenario 1) was developed based on process optimization principles. These models were subsequently transformed into simulation scenarios and subjected to quantitative analysis using BIMP software. Simulation results indicate that the Digitalization scenario significantly improves process performance compared to the current state. Additionally, the study conducts sensitivity analysis through simulating increased loan demand scenarios to evaluate the flexibility and adaptability of the intervention model to market fluctuations. Based on the analytical results, the research recommends that Agribank Phu Vang prioritize implementation of digitalization solutions while simultaneously preparing for market volatility. This study contributes empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of integrated BPMN and quantitative simulation methodologies in optimizing banking and financial business processes
N.
