Abstract
Abstract. The main objective of this study is analysing technical efficiency of king mandarin production at household level at Vinh Long province using two stages approach corrporating Cobb Douglas stochastic frontier production function and Tobit regression. The primary data of 168 households was employed in this study. As the result, the mean technical efficiency of king mandarin households was 0,608 with quite big range of variable value from 0,073 to 1. And the result, the Tobit model showed that credit, farming practical training and interplanting were found important determinants improving the level of efficiency in king mandarin production in Vinh Long province; whereas age of household member who manage almost farming activities is a dcreasing determinant on efficiency level.
